1. Transcribe the sequence
Select the audio or video clip on your timeline and run SmartCaptions. The plugin transcribes speech using the best-fit provider for the language you pick — Deepgram, OpenAI Whisper, or fallbacks for resilience — and writes the result back to Premiere Pro as a fully timed caption track. You get accurate cues with sensible reading speed, not a wall of text.
2. Translate the SRT in place
Choose your target language from the dropdown and press translate. Each cue is sent for translation together with its surrounding context, which matters a lot for short subtitle lines where literal word-by-word output sounds robotic. Timing carries over untouched. Right-to-left scripts such as Hebrew and Arabic render correctly on the timeline and in any export.
3. Polish, then export or burn in

Export as SRT or VTT for upload, or burn the captions into your final render using Premiere Pro's own export pipeline.
